Education: Lesa studied astronomy and astrophysics at Macquarie University, attaining a Bachelor of Science with Honours in 2003 and a Master of Philosophy in 2008, both specialising in astronomy.

Current Employment: Astronomy educator and sky guide for Sydney Observatory and the Astronomical Society of NSW; astronomy enrichment lecturer aboard Princess Cruises.

Employment to 2001 to 2011: Lecturer in physics, astronomy and environmental science at Australian Catholic University, North Sydney; astronomy educator and sky guide at Sydney Observatory, Macquarie University Observatory and Koolang Observatory; lecturer, research assistant, teaching assistant and lab demonstrator at Macquarie University.
